Understanding Mental Health Workshop

Three Lions Psychology and Consulting offer the Understanding Mental Health workshop to all businesses, organisations, schools and universities. The aim of the workshop is to provide an introductory understanding of mental health and wellbeing issues in society and to increase the knowledge of all participants.

This program is well suited to businesses, organisations, schools and universities who provide support or services to community cohorts in which mental health issues can impact. The workshop also provides basic skill development to support people with mental health issues. Note: this workshop is not Mental Health First Aid and is not accredited. This is an introductory workshop.

Key components of the workshop include:

  • The Mental Health Continuum
  • Exploring the criteria of common mental health conditions
  • Developing and maintaining effective professional boundaries
  • Compassion and Empathy
  • Barriers to seeking support
  • What to do if you are concerned about an individual’s mental health
  • Support services and how to access them

There is flexibility in the delivery of the workshop and businesses, organisations, schools and universities can discuss their needs with Marcus to ensure the workshop is valuable and effective.

All program materials are included in the program fee including workbooks and resources. Maximum of 24 participants per program.
