Erryn James

Erryn James is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker registered with the Australian Association of Social Works (AASW) and Medicare Australia. Erryn has a special interest in Women’s and Adolescent mental health.

Erryn holds a Master of Social Work, Graduate Certificate in Loss, Grief, and Trauma Counselling and has a Bachelor of Food and Nutritional Science. Erryn is an accredited facilitator of the Circle of Security Parenting Program™ (COSP), Tuning in to Teens™, Cool Kids™ and Cool Little Kids™. Erryn has been working in private practice and at the Gidget Foundation for the past year in Women’s, Perinatal and Infant Mental Health.

Prior to this Erryn worked at headspace Ballarat providing individual and group based therapeutic support and counselling to young people aged 12-25 years old and their parents/carers. Erryn also has experience working within the NDIS sector.

Erryn’s practice is person-centered, strengths based and holistic. Erryn uses and is trained in a range of treatment modalities including Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Schema Informed Therapy. Erryn tailors approaches to the clients individual needs.
