Allison Boucher

Allison Boucher, co-director, and registered Social Worker with specialisation as an accredited Mental Health Social Worker, enjoys working with a range of mental health concerns and has a particular interest in supporting young adults and parents.

Allison holds a degree and post graduate degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work and has worked in the mental health field for 25 years in community, tertiary and private organisations. Her most recent role was as the Clinical Lead at headspace Ballarat where part of her role involved working with young people aged 12-25 with complex mental health presentations.

Allison often uses a psychodynamic approach to work through issues and applies treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and skills training. She aims to tailor a therapeutic approach to each client’s unique needs.

Allison has delivered training in mental health, counselling, healthy relationships, parenting support, and suicide education. She also has experience supervising multi-disciplinary teams and has undertaken specialist Supervisor training with the AASW.
